Memories under the Microscope
On 26 September 2016 about 100 colleagues from across the Oxford University Museums came to the Ashmolean for the 2016 staff conference, an afternoon of lightning talks where colleagues share a taste of what they are up to with their colleagues working across all four museums in every department.
Over the next few weeks we'll be sharing some videos from the conference to give a sneak peak into some of our work.
This week's video is Memories under the microscope: collaborations between Oxford University Museums Partnershi[ and University of Oxford Research Departments given by Helen Fountain, Reminiscence Officer, Oxford University Museums Partnership and Kate Hamblin, Senior Research Fellow, University of Oxford Institute for Population and Ageing.
In 2015 the University of Oxford Institute for Population Ageing made a successful application to the Fell Fund to explore the impact of the Museum of Oxford’s Memory Lane on site reminiscence group on its participants’ wellbeing. This lightening talk will cover the collaborative process from early discussions, developing a seminar series, the research process and the final research findings which have been published in a report.
