Presentation Skills

Improve your presentation skills for conferences, delivering training and engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.

ASPIRE is offering a full day workshop on presentations skills in partnership with the Oxford Learning Institute.

This workshop is designed to support colleagues who may wish to improve their presentation skills for delivering training, presenting papers at conferences and events, or engage with colleagues and stakeholders in meetings.

The workshop aims to develop knowledge and practical skills in all aspects of preparing and structuring presentations, and to increase confidence in the management and delivery of presentations.

Areas covered will include:

  • Best practice for speaking

  • Planning your presentation

  • Top tips for PowerPoint

  • Calming nerves.

The sessions will be delivered by Rosemary Dearden, Staff Development Officer and Departmental Safety Officer at the Bodleian Libraries and Learning Associate for the Oxford Learning Institute.  She has been running courses on Stress Management and Presentation Skills for the OLI for the last 5 years and previously worked for the Oxfordshire County Council’s Education Business Partnership.
