Maximise the effectiveness of your venue hire offer. This event will look at ways museums can create a unique identity for their brand which is commercially viable and supportive of their organisation’s culture and philosophy.
Museums are increasingly using their buildings for venue hire and as when managed successfully this can provide a profitable revenue stream. Through creative case studies and shared experiences, this workshop will explore a range of venue hire opportunities, from using your organisation as a sought-after venue for weddings and business meetings to encouraging production companies to see your venue as a desirable location for filming.
The day has been designed to inspire confidence and aims to help museums identify the steps they need to take to maximise the effectiveness of their venue hire offer. It will look at ways museums can create a unique identity for their brand which is commercially viable and supportive of their organisation’s culture and philosophy.
The day will include a tour of the spaces the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology uses for venue hire.
Delegates will hear case studies from the Ashmolean Museum and the Chiltern Open Air Museum – very different organisations who are successfully generating income from venue hire and filming. But there will also be plenty of time to network with colleagues, share ideas, be inspired by each other and to think about what your museum needs to do next.
This event is for decision makers working in museums.
